This fully welded trailer hitch receiver bolts onto your vehicle's frame with no welding required. Matte black, powder coated steel is durable and corrosion resistant and creates a rugged look.It is a very robust designed and manufactured hitch. Installation was very simple and the fish wire was just as simple as it shows on the instructional video. Overall very well pleased. The only problem I had was one of the hex nuts was so close to the gusset, I could not use a socket but had to use an open end wrench. The instructions do not state to not reinstall the heat shield but the video does. I used zip ties to secure the bumper cover to the hitch which worked perfectly.
Excellent fit, A few tips if working alone. (My car a 2020 Edge) WD40 the rubber muffler hangers first, use a tie down strap or rope under the big muffler, strap or rope (3 -4 inches below current position., YOU DO NOT have to remove bumper cover, Save the dirt /heat shield that attaches to bottom of bumper cover, ( you will need to cut out the area were now the drop down part of the receiver sets. Cut shield in half, also trim off both ends were one nut held on with the inner fender well Pic H3 This will cure the floppy issue one guy had with the bottom of bumper cover. I had tin snips but a hacksaw will work.
Do cut off the center stud above muffler, that the heat shield mounted too. I placed the right side of hitch on top of the tailpipe/ muffler. put drivers side on a spare jack stand about 4 in down from frame. feed through the clever feed wires on bolts, left the top 2 horizontal ones in frame , attached lower 2 first, be sure to keep one finger on that bolt when you screw off the guide wire. Repeat on drivers side done in a couple hours. Used the premade harness got from etrailer, and it made for fast work in getting light wires attached. First 2 pics looks like a factory install. Actually my 2nd hitch for an Edge., first hitch for 2020 Edge covid yr made car had a complete wiring harness failure so I trade up to a 2022 Edge, Installed another hitch same PN on the 2022 Edge, easy to install, looks awesome and has worked perfectly. Still looks brand new with that premium coating used on it.

The hitch fit my 2018 Ford Edge just fine. Installation hardware was all there, online instruction video was spot on. I did it all myself except for actually lifting the hitch into place, which required a second set of hands. Because the long panel that cannot be reinstalled also supported the lower edge of the rear bumper panel, I used a couple zip ties to secure the lower edge of the panel to the hitch to keep it from vibrating in the breeze. My only criticism of the hitch was the fact that the box was badly damaged and the paint was worn off of the hitch in several places. It was not damaged that it would not fit properly, but I had to get some spray paint to touch up the corners where the paint was gone to prevent corrosion. I understand that shipping an item like that is difficult, but I would suggest at least wrapping the vulnerable corners with the reinforced tape that they use to secure the hardware to the hitch during transport.

Solid hitch, install went good- 2018 MKX. Modified the backside bumper panel to fit it back in easy enough. Didn't love the safety chain hookup tabs, they hang a bit low but all the other hitches out there were the same. Went with the etrailer one from past experience in quality and price. Found the safety chains had to be shortened so they didn't hit the ground and even then were too close for my comfort. Ended up cutting the tabs off and welding on loops that went out the sides instead of down and placed them back further from the hitch to resolve that issue. Wish there was an aftermarket one that mounted more like the OEM- would look and work better but a cost vs value deal- OEM was 6x more expensive!
User friendly website, quality product as advertised. A 2” receiver and concealed drawbar as I requested. A reasonable price offered. For my purposes, this should be adequate to carry my two EBikes to and from various locations.

Over the years I have purchased several hitch and wiring assemblies. I have also recommended purchases from etrailer to others. Recently I had my 2016 Lincoln MKX destroyed on I-81 in Va by a totally AH reckless driver. Walked away from a 70 MPH crash with no injuries. I purchased a used 2022 Ford Edge Titanium and I need another hitch and wiring assembly. etrailer videos have always been outstanding. It pointed out that the Titanium requires a different type hitch from the standard Edge models. At 79 I no longer feel the need to install myself and a local tire dealer told me the installation is very easy only to cost about $100 to install. No sense busting my butt without a lift.
Hopefully this car will last until I hit the rainbow bridge to be with all of my bird dogs.
Just finished installing the hitch and wiring harness. Took me most of the day but I'm a 76 year old dude and move kinda slow these days. Was able to do it myself so that was a plus. The instruction videos were VERY helpful. Seems to be a very good product . I would recommend it to a friend .

You would have received 5 stars except for the fact the flange where I hook the chains to is WAY too thick.
Really difficult to feed my “s” hook thru it.

I know that the safety chain brackets can sometimes be a little small for the safety chain hooks. In these cases, you can use quick links like part # DU83QR or part # RM-910022 to attach the safety chain hooks to. I hope this helps.
One tip. Get a couple big fender washers and use the 10mm flange nuts you removed when you took off the side trim pieces. Use them to hold the hitch in place using the studs that poke through the holes. I did that before I fished any bolts and it worked out great.

Iuse it regularly to haul my boat and I have a hitch carrier to carry gas cans. It has been working great.
Trailer hitch was packaged very well. It had a short delivery time. Good directions, with easy installation. Well constructed!!! It looks like it was factory installed and original to the vehicle. We would highly recommend this product for others looking for a great trailer hitch!
Fit was near perfect, There were a few scraps from transport and the box was partially damaged but all parts were inside of the box still. Easy to install and watching the video 2-3 times had me prepared to install without constant referencing of the instructions. I used wheel ramps with 8.5 inch lift to install the hitch but if you can do a bit more that may make it easier. The fish wire method to feed the bolts and square washers into the unibody frame was perfect. it was actually much easier than I expected to do. I used a rubber mallet to tap the hitch in place when the bolts were loosely attached to help seat it down instead of using the bolts to pull it in tight. I took a bit of black spray paint and touched up the hitch the day before install to give the paint time to dry. I also sprayed the remainder of the bolt that gets cut off with paint as well just to be safe. I used blue lock tite on the bolts prior to torqueing them to 59ftlbs. I also used a paint marker to mark the bolts to make follow up check easier.
Your quality control dept ???? I only got 6 gold flanged nuts. ??
Off to the hardware store I go Im ready to bolt on the receiver!

Well that is not common. Lets see what our customer service department can get done for you.
Did the job solo by lashing the hitch onto a floor jack. The little bits of wood under the square tube make it sit horizontally on the head of the jack. Fairly easy to then maneuver it into position with the car up on jack stands.
Packaging is a bit marginal.
Hardware was all present and correct.
Fit and finish are fine.
I just opened box to make sure nothing was damaged. Everything looks ok. Not ready to install for awhile so can't review anything else. Obviously the box was damaged alot. Hope it's not missing anything.
Hitch was easy to install and looks great.
Only issue is with putting hitch carriers on. The hitch sits low so the hitch carriers scrap the ground, so if you intend to use this with those, i recommend getting a hitch riser.
Great product. Very easy to install. Good instructions. Watch the install Videos as they will help you. They took the time to make them available for you, use them.
Easy to instal, watched install video on website and explains in good detail what to do. Love the way it is tucked in and hardly shows.
Appears to b e an excellent hitch and includes all the parts needed for a solid install. The instructions (for the vehicle I had) however would only rate about one star. The fish wires are are great, could be one or two inches longer however in my application.

The hitch works as advertised. as stated previously, the instructions could use tweaking and the fishwires could have been a touch longer.
E-trailer is always great. I love how they produce instructional videos for their hitches. This hitch went on pretty easily with some help during the lifting process. The paper instructions were good. The only problem I noticed in the paper instructions is that it called for a 7/16” socket but it was actually an 11/16”. No biggie though. Great product from a great company.
Ups delivered it around 11am had it installed by 2:30 With no problems. The video extremely helpful

Excellent product. Love the mat black finish. Fits nicely and installs very easy. The instructional video and the fish wires to pull the bolts and plates into the frame work very well.
