For your 2006 Honda Ridgeline I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 13385. This is a Class III hitch with a 2" receiver and a concealed cross tube. It has a maximum gross trailer weight of 5,000 lbs and max tongue weight of 500 lbs. It also comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
If you plan on doing some towing and need wiring, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118400. This plugs directly into existing wiring and will provide you with a 4-way connection to power your trailers signal lights.
For a ball mount, check out the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. This kit has two ball mounts, one with a 3/4" rise or 2" drop and the other with a 2-3/4" rise or 4" drop. It also comes with a 1-7/8" and 2" ball, as well as a ball mount bag to store everything in.
