When it comes to upgrading your class 2 trailer hitch on your 2005 Coachmen Cross Country I recommend The Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Receiver - Weld On - Class V - 2 inch # 41990-07.
This trailer hitch welds onto the frame of your trailer and will give you a 1,600 pound tongue weight.
