The trailer hitch I want to purchase has a 1 1/4 hitch but the bike rack I have needs a 2” hitch. Is there an adapter I can purchase for this? Thanks

Yes, there adapters you can use. The Hitch Adapter 1-1/4" to 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # HTAD, will fit your 1-1/4" trailer hitch. Adding a hitch adapter may be problematic because it reduces the maximum tongue weight of the trailer hitch by 50%. This would reduce your tongue weight to 100 lbs. Your bikes and the hitch bike rack could not exceed that weight when added together, severely limiting what you can carry.
