Hopkins Endurance HM54FR Tabs Will Not Engage Into Bed Side Causing Connector To Fall Out
Question:
When installing the 4/7 pin into my 2021 Chevy Silverado 3/4 ton in bed, factory hole, I am not able to get the tabs on each side of the unit to snap into place. When I pull on the unit, it comes right out. I tried to bend out the tabs a little to see if I could find an engagement point, but still didnt work. Thanks.

It sounds like the hole in the bed of your 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 has to much bed liner material on the hole for the Hopkins Endurance 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness # HM54FR. This would cause the connector to not push in far enough for the clips to seat into the sides of the steel and hold the connector in place. You may need to sand down the excess bed liner material to get the connector clips to fully engage when you press it in.
