Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver for 2022 Ford Ranger

For a hitch that fits your 2022 Ford Ranger I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e63ZR. This is a custom fit, Class III hitch with a 2" receiver. This hitch has a maximum gross trailer weight of 6,000 lbs and a maximum tongue weight of 900 lbs. It also features a matte black powder coat finish which provides a rugged look and does a better job of hiding dirt and scratches when compared to a glossy finish. This hitch is made in the USA.
If you plan on doing some towing, I recommend adding the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector # 22124. This will provide you with a 7-way connection to power your trailer's signal lights and brakes. If you need a 4-way connection you can use an adapter like the # PK12716.
For a ball mount, check out the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. This kit has two ball mounts, one with a 3/4" rise or 2" drop and the other with a 2-3/4" rise or 4" drop. It also comes with a 1-7/8" and 2" ball, as well as a ball mount bag to store everything in.
