Does Spare Tire Bracket Get Bolted to Curt Hitch C13176 on 2016 Chevy Colorado
Question:
I just purchased a curt c13176 for my 2016 Chevy Colorado. I noticed there is no place for the spare tire bracket to be bolted to the receiver. My question is should there be a place for the bolts for the spare tire bracket to go in the receiver like the old receiver had? Thank you for your help.

That is a good question, and there is not a place for the bolts for the spare tire bracket to mount for your 2016 Chevy Colorado when installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13176.
We have asked Curt about this very issue, and what they said is that the spare's bracket is not needed in order to support the spare tire because the cable gets tightened after raising the spare into position, so it will stay firmly in place.
