Expert Reply:
For the highest ground clearance for your 2011 Subaru Outback Wagon, I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit # 75673. With this 2-inch receiver, you will get a ground clearance of about 14 inches from the top of the hitch receiver to the ground. This hitch will only fit 2011 Outbacks that are not the Sports model.
If you have the Sports model of 2011 Subaru Outback Wagon, we only have one hitch that will fit your vehicle. That hitch is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I # C11315. As far as ground clearance, the Curt 1-1/4" hitch measures about 11 inches from the top of the receiver tube to the ground.
If you need assistance choosing compatible accessories with both of these hitches, I would be happy to assist you if you provide for me the cargo you wish to transport on your vehicle.
