Receiver Hitch For 2014 Newmar Canyon Star Motorhome At Least 6,000 lb. GTW
Question:
I have a 2014 Newmar with a 6000 lbs tow limit. The newmar came with hitch with a 5000 lbs. I would like to change the hitch out to one that is at least 6000 lbs tow rating. Do y’all offer one?

The Curt Adjustable Trailer Hitch Receiver, Class III - 2", # C13701 that you link to, has a maximum gross trailer weight rating of 5,000 lbs. However, this is increased to a maximum GTW of 6,000 lbs. when used with weight distribution system. My first suggestion is that prior to changing out current hitch, identify with Newmar if the factory installed hitch has similar rating as this may meet your needs. The two Curt Trailer Hitches, # C13702 and # C13701, are both rated the same with the only difference being that the # 13701 has a 2" drop for the receiver.
There is another option if needed, we have the the Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Cross Tube # 41990 with a cross tube width of 44". This has a full 16,000 lb. tow rating from a weld-on application using either bracket # 4907 or # 4916 dependent on frame measurements. The max gross trailer weight is a full 16,000 lb. with a tongue weight of 1,600 lbs.
