Trailer Hitch for a 1993 Holiday Rambler On a Ford F53 Chassis
Question:
It has a Reese 35630 welded on . I want to haul a car trailer with a weight of 5300#. The cross tube is 3x3 and 34inch between rails, the side plates are 13inch LG. 6inch tall triangular in shape with 2inch skid plate on the bottom of each side plate. There is an 8x11inch flat stock plate for the cross tube to the receiver and the receiver extends from the 3x3 tube 13inch and is welded on both sides. It is made from 3/16 stock, and is welded to the C channel frame. The MH does not have brake control or a 7 pin connector so I think it may be sub standard. I would like to do a bolt on if I can get one if this one is not heavy enough.

I was unable to find the capacity of your existing trailer hitch to determine if it can pull the 5,300 pound trailer. The only way I can guarantee a hitch will be able to pull that much weight would be to replace the hitch.
Draw-Tite hitch # 41990 is one possible option. It is rated for 16,000 pounds gross trailer weight. The cross tube is 44 inches long. There are a couple of different brackets associated with this hitch. The shorter ones, # 4907, are 7 inch brackets. The taller ones, # 4916, are 16 inches brackets.
You mentioned that the RV does not have a 7-Way connector. Does it have any kind of trailer connector at all? If not are the brake lights and turn signals on the same bulb or do they each have their own bulb?
