Fifth Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter For 2017 GMC/Chevy Duramax
Question:
I have a 2017 durmax short bed, with tow package, and 5th wheel prep already in bed of truck. Im looking into buying a toyhauler, the deal says I can tow it without any problems. I also have air spring air ride xl7500 bags. The toyhauler dry weight is 13,422 and gross is 17,435. The only thing I will carry in toyhauler cargo will be a Harley witch ways appr. 996 pds. Can this work

The Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter w/ Offset - 12" to 16" Tall # CAB-C5GX1216 will work for you assuming you have the OEM 5th wheel prep package with the gooseneck in the center. While this adapter does provide an offset for better clearance, it is likely that you will be unable to make a full 90 degree turn with this setup.
I recommend taking the truck out to an empty parking lot and have a someone with you to watch the cab to trailer clearance. This way you will be able to find what your limits are.
