Can 30,000 lb Curt PowerRide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Mount to 2021 GMC Sierra 3500 With Puck System

GMC 5th wheel prep package. My new truck has been ordered with the hitch prep package. I’m not seeing that this new hitch is a direct mount to my prep package pucks. Am I right? Is this model available in the GMC mount?

There is a way to mount the 30k capacity PowerRide to your 2021 GMC Sierra 3500 with the puck system, but you are right that it doesn't mount directly to the pucks, so you will need an adapter for your truck; what you can use are the following:

- Curt PowerRide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C22ER

- Adapter Rails for Curt 5th Wheel Hitch - Ford and Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package # C88KR

The only caveat is that the adapter rails have a 25,000 lb capacity, so you would need to abide by that capacity rather than the 30,000 lb capacity of the PowerRide.

That said, there is an option for a 5th wheel hitch with a 30,000 lb capacity that mounts directly to the puck system of your 2021 GMC Sierra 3500:

- Curt A30 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package # C16070

The A30 will allow the full 30,000 lb capacity of the hitch if that's something you are in need of, and has the same highly secure interlocking 2-jaw system and handy color-coded indicator as the PowerRide.
