Differences Between Curt A25 C16180 and Q25 C16265 5th Wheel Hitches
Question:
Curt fifth wheel hitch what the difference between A25 and the Q25 for a 2018 ram 3500

Helpful Expert Reply:
The hitch jaws that grip the 5th wheel's king pin and the suspension system (for the lack of a better term) for the hitch head are the main differences between the A25 and the Q25.
The A25 like the # C16180 uses an interlocking jaw system that does a better job of holding the king pin tightly, making contact with the king pin all around its 360° circumference. This leads to less rattling and banging which makes for a more comfortable ride. The A25 use a torsion dampening system in the hitch head which allows full articulation and excellent stability.
The Q25 uses a more conventional two jaw system where the jaws don't overlap, so the ride quality won't be quite as good. The hitch head uses an axial bearing that works pretty well, but isn't compatible with rotating pin boxes like the Reese Revolution/Sidewinder.
The hitches are both at a very similar price point. I'd be more apt to recommend the # C16180 A25 due to its better jaw system that will provide a better ride and because it can be used with a rotating pin box if needed.
I've linked you to product description videos for both hitches.
