Ball Mount For 2002 Toyota Sienna With Curt Hitch C13511 For Towing U-Haul Trailer

Question:

If I want to utilize the Curt Rockerball, it seems I should get a ball hitch with a 3.5" rise since the Rockerball adds 1.5" of height? Unfortunately it seems that eTrailer doesn't seem to carry a fixed ball mount with a rise of 3.5-3.75". Would a 4" rise be too high (particularly when transporting an empty trailer)? As a reminder, U-Haul recommends an 18.5-18.75" ball height. Thanks again!

I can help you out with the right ball mount and hitch ball for your 2002 Toyota Sienna so you can tow a U-Haul trailer with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13511.

When we installed this hitch on a 2002 Sienna, we found that the distance from the ground to the top of the hitch receiver was 13-1/2 inches; since the bottom of the U-haul coupler is going to be 18-1/2 inches from the ground (that is what they mean when they say "optimal ball height" as that is how far off the ground the coupler is) you will need a ball mount with a 5 inch rise. Since you will need a wiring harness for your 2002 Sienna as well, I'll go ahead and list out all the parts you'll need to tow.

- Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13511

- Plug-N-Tow Vehicle Wiring Harness # 43475

- Curt Ball Mount for 2" Hitches # C45336

- 2" Hitch Ball # A-90

- Pin and Clip # C21500

I have added some links below to video reviews for you to check out as well if you'd like to take a look.

That's a good question, and 4 inch rise would be perfectly acceptable to use with your set up. What you really want is to be within 1 inch or so of being level, which is why ball mounts are generally available in 1 inch increments. So the RockerBall and ball mount you can use are the following: - Curt RockerBall Shock Absorbing 2" Hitch Ball # C40047 - Curt Ball Mount for 2" Hitches - 4" Rise, 6" Drop # D-28
