Is There a Standard Wheel Pilot Hole Size

Question:

Wondering if there is a standard size hub pilot hole for wheels to fit 3,500 lb hubs? I see some of your rims have 2.62, some have 3.19. Im trying to use factory car rims so I can have the same size wheels on my car as on the trailer, so both can use the same spares.

There is not a standard pilot size, but passenger vehicle wheels are almost always lug centric so it wouldn't be a concern. The concern I will mention is that for trailer tires you're going to want to use tires that are designed specifically for trailer tires; these will have the prefix "ST" like on the Karrier ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range E # AM10303. Trailer tires are designed with heavy load bearing in mind, where passenger tires are balanced and designed to provide traction and steering. You could use passenger wheels, which we often see with Jeep owners and off-road trailers, but the tires will need to be specific to the trailer and vehicle.

If you need help locating specific sized tires for your trailer, just let me know and I can help you find something that will work.
