What makes The T-1 more expensive Is the more expensive one better? Does it come with instructions on how to take the panels of the car off to install it?

For the 2013 Mazda CX-5 the Tow Ready wiring harness # 118563 is a powered converter that requires a direct connection to the vehicle battery to power the trailer lights. This protects the vehicle wiring and electrical components from damage. Because this unit uses a powered converter it will have a higher amperage rating (if the trailer has a lot of lights) than the Curt harness.
The Curt harness # C56011 does not require a connection to the battery so it gets all of the power from the trailer lights through the vehicle tail light wiring.
Both harnesses come with instructions but the Tow Ready instructions have more detailed information on removing the panels and installing the wiring. I have included links to the installation instructions for you. I have also included a link to an FAQ on routing the power wire to the battery if you go with the Tow Ready harness.
