Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2019 Volkswagen Jetta for Towing a Trailer
Question:
I have a 19 jetta. Ill be towing a small trailer. Which is the strongest mounting option between the two hitches available? I dont mind that one is more hidden. Thanks.

Both of the hitch options for your 2019 Volkswagen Jetta have the same capacities (but please do check your owner's manual for your Jetta's towing capacities) of 2,000 lb towing and 200 lbs tongue weight. So the only difference between the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11540 has a visible crosstube, while the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24978 does not.
Due to the much cleaner look (which you can see in the accompanying photo on a Jetta), I recommend going with the Draw-Tite # 24978.
Along with the hitch, there are some other parts you will need in order to complete the towing set up on your 2019 Jetta, which are the following:
- T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118791
- Draw-Tite Drawbar # 3593
- 1-7/8" Hitch Ball # 19256 or 2" Hitch Ball # 19258
