How To Use Provider 215/75R17.5 Radial Tire w/ 17-1/2 Silver Mod Wheel

Question:

Hi, I have a dump trailer with 16inch wheels/tires on 7k Dexter electric brake axles. I want to upgrade to 17.5inch wheels/tires like this. There is space for the slightly larger diameter tire, but Im not sure how to compare the current offset, size of studs, etc. The current bolt pattern in 8 x 6.5. I think I will need to upgrade the wheel lug nuts too.

The Provider 215/75R17.5 Radial Tire w/ 17-1/2" Silver Mod Wheel part # TA95ZR is hub piloted and uses 5/8" studs so you'd likely need a new hub to use this, the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly part # 8-219-18UC3 for example has the correct hub bore needed for the hub-centric mount and the correct 5/8" diameter studs. For wheel nuts, you can use the Flange Nut part # 95188.

In regards to the positive offset, the wheels will sit in .08" from the hub face so you just need to measure to ensure compatibility.
