Parts Needed to Add a 7-Way Trailer Connector to a 2010 Lexus RX 450h
Question:
I bought a Curtis towing bar for my Lexus RX450h 2010 model, but forgot the wiring and 7 pole plug. As far as I can see there is no towing package on the car. I saw a mail response for a 2011 that found the connection behind the bumper. HAvnt checked, but think I should have the set that connects to the back lights. What should I buy, and can you supply also the connector we use 7 pin round for our small transport trailer.

In order to know for sure if your 2010 Lexus RX 450h has the factory tow package you can call the dealership and have them run the VIN number of the vehicle. They will be able to tell you how it is equipped.
Without a tow package first you would use # 118255 that you have referenced. Then, to add a 7-Way you would use a separate installation kit. Take a look at the connector the trailer has. If the connector is round but has blade style pins then you would use # ETBC7. If it has round holes then you could use this same kit but then add an adapter, # 47595.
I have included some links that explain the installation of the ETBC7 for you.
If the trailer has electric brakes you will also need a brake controller. I recommend the P2 # 90885 because it is easy to set up and easy to use. The installation links also will show you how to install the brake controller.
