Today we will be taking a look at the Rhino Rack gas can holder for Pioneer platform racks. Part number RJCH-HOR. The Rhino Rack gas can holder provides a convenient, out-of-the-way option for transporting your five gallon gas can. We're going to start by placing on our brackets here on the two sides. We're just going to loosely set it here, but eventually we're going to line up the two holes there. We'll take our two screws. We're going to have a washer for each of those.
We'll start by placing our screws into the holes. The two side racks that we're installing here will be used with the Rhino Rack alloy tray for mounting and tie-down points. We'll take two more washers, and put one on the opposite side. We'll then take our nuts and start to tighten those down. Now we're going tighten these down with our ten millimeter wrench and our ten millimeter socket.
Now that we've got that tightened down, we'll do the same thing to the other side. Now that we've got our brackets installed, we're going to show you how to load up our channel nuts here which will be how we mount them onto our rack. We're going to take our screw, we're going to place on a spring washer, and then a flat washer. We'll insert that into our hole here at the edge, and then place on our channel nut. We can now do the same to the other side. Now that we've got everything installed let's start up on platform rank and secure it down. We'll line up our channel nuts with the channel, and slide this into place.
We'll take our thirteen millimeter wrench, and tighten it down. Next we will tighten down the back. Now we've already got our gas can loaded up and our ratchet straps secured around our crossbar to give us a nice secure tie-down point. We're just going to ratchet this down the rest of the way. We'll tie off our excess, and we're ready to hit the road. That's going to complete our look at the Rhino Rack gas can holder for Pioneer platform racks, part number RJCH-HOR.
