The Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit like part # K71-384-00 does not require welding. That said, it is recommended to tack the spring seats to the axle but this is super easy to do even for someone with no prior welding experience. It is however not required, only recommended.

Hey Ronald, the landing gear part #RVLG-8HDL does not come with new brackets but we have them available with the part #LG-Brackets. These will need to be welded on as there isn't a way to bolt on the jacks to the brackets you have now.

Yes, if you wanted to drill a different hole in your trailer suspension rear hangers you could and this would allow the spring to be held at a different height. Just make sure it's not too close to the current hole.
