Can Different Hole be Drilled into Suspension Rear Hanger  

Question:

Used home made trailer. Brackets are wrong place. Have everything within 1/8 of inch. Problem is right rear hanger is 2 1/4 inches long. Have 3 inch brackets. Can I make a new hole and this work are your suggestion what to do

Yes, if you wanted to drill a different hole in your trailer suspension rear hangers you could and this would allow the spring to be held at a different height. Just make sure it's not too close to the current hole.
