Replacement Trailer Hitch for 2006 Toyota Tundra w/ Factory Hitch
Question:
I have a 2006 Toyota tundra SR5 with 4 doors. It has the factory tow package. I had the bumper replaced today but the hitch and bracket it attached to are badly rusted and the wiring is falling off. Is there an aftermarket tow package to replace the oem one.

The 2006 Tundra could have been equipped with the 'Factory' hitch two different ways. If it was a dealer installed option, it would simply bolt to the frame members but if it arrived from the factory with the hitch, the hitch is tied into the bumper mounting brackets and the bumper would need to be replaced to remove the existing hitch. Since you've already replaced the bumper, you'll be able to install the # 13184, which Curt has confirmed for me.
For a wiring harness, you'll need # HM43385 if the truck originally had the factory 7-way, or # C59496 for a 4 pole connector.
I've linked you to an install video for the hitch.
