How to Install the Curt Stabilization Strap # 18050 to Carry a Bike Rack on a 2005 Toyota Avalon
Question:
At the end on the info on the 1 1/4inch hitch for the Avalon it says: Note: All non-trailer loads - bike racks, cargo carriers and so forth - should be supported with stabilizing straps. Failure to properly support these loads will void your hitch warranty from Curt. How do you set up stabilizing straps to maintain the warranty? I dont think Ive ever seen this.

The stabilization strap in question is # 18050. I have included a helpful link to another question and answer that contains a video that shows how the stabilization strap should be installed. Only the Curt hitch has this requirement, but it is a good idea for any class I or class II application.
