Length of CURT Strap and Installation Location on a 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan
Question:
I have a 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan and there is a polymer spoiler at the top of my hatch that would end up supporting the weight of the strap when it is installed. To avoid cracking it, Im thinking of positioning the strap further back on the horizontal bar on my 4 bike carrier. Wondering how long the strap is and if you have suggestions for mounting the strap on Grand Caravans like mine? The rack is a Champion Power Equipment 4 bike model. Thanks

I spoke with my contact at CURT and he informed me that the CURT Bike Rack Strap # 18050 that you referenced is adjustable from 20 inches to 35 inches.
The spoiler on your 2010 Dodge Caravan is not designed to handle any amount of weight on it so I would recommend not using an attachment point that puts any weight on the spoiler. As an alternate mounting location I would recommend you attach to the rack at a lower point on the rack and then run the strap to the lower portion of the lift gate.
