7 Way Trailer Wiring for 2020 Honda Pilot
Question:
I have a 2020 Honda Pilot and need trailer wiring. My trailer has a 7 way on it, what wiring do you recommend?

For your 2020 Honda Pilot I recommend T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package # 118286. This will give you a fully functioning 7 way at the back of you Pilot so you can transfer all the signals to your trailer, like your taillights, turn signals, brake lights, and and option to add a brake controller if your trailer has brakes. It's a very straight forward install that doesn't require any cutting or splicing, just simple plug in connections.
You'll need a bracket to mount the 7 way to your hitch, Mounting Bracket and Installation Hardware # PK12711U and No-Drill Mount Bracket, Long # 18136 will work great.
I do realize sometimes with hitches becoming more hidden, there's less space to mount a bracket, at least easily. Another bracket option is Eclipse Magnetic Mounting Bracket for 7-Way and 6-Way Trailer Connectors # 306-X6020. This has a strong magnet that can virtually be mounted to any metal surface that your wiring can reach.
I always recommend having some Dielectric Grease # 11755 when your installing wiring, so there is more protection for the circuits against corrosion.
If you need a brake controller, I recommend Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180. Its a wireless controller, so there is no need to drill holes, or mount a box to the dash like traditional brake controllers. It plugs in between your Pilot's 7 way and the trailer, and is controlled by your smart phone. So when you're not towing you can store it the glove box out of the way and keep the interior looking stock.
I linked the parts mentioned and a video of the wiring being installed on a 2020 Pilot that we had in the shop.
