How to Route Tekonsha Trailer Wiring Harness for Mounting on 2019 Subaru Outback Wagon
Question:
I am looking to install the Tekonsha 4-Way Harness on my 2019 Subaru Outback but wondering about mounting. Does it get mounted to the hitch or where does it go after actually connecting it to the plugs? Thanks for your help.

The Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118467 is actually designed so that the harness wiring and connector just gets stored inside the rear cargo area when it's not in use. Then when it's time to hook up to a trailer you will just pull the 4-Way out and close the hatch door on the wiring (this will not damage the wiring in any way).
I know this sounds kind of weird but this is very common and in a lot of ways better than keeping it mounted to the hitch or bumper, as it keeps the connector out of the elements when it's not being used, which just ends up leading to a much longer lifespan.
