Troubleshooting Trailer Running Light Circuit that Turns Off When Interior Lights are Turned On
Question:
Why do my running lights go out when I turn on my interior lights on trailer. I have two interior stock lights inside trailer if I just turn one on it’s fine when I turn them both on the running lights go out on trailer and it doesn’t matter what one I turn on first?

Your problem is due to your trailer wiring ground circuit being insufficient. Basically you are trying to draw more amperage than you ground circuit is capable of keeping up with so it's shutting down partially. Since the interior lights and running lights are on separate circuit it wouldn't be an overdrawing of either circuit so it's definitely a weak ground.
So you need to improve the ground of the trailer wiring. You can do this by running jumper wires from the circuits back to the main ground harness. Improving the connection of the main ground harness to the trailer frame or making sure that all of the circuits that ground through their hardware are connected to a clean metal surface.
