Hi, everyone. Aidan here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Race Ramps trailer steps. This is going to be a really lightweight, sturdy option to get some steps up into your trailer if you don't already have those, or to help get you a leg up when you're maybe detailing a tall truck or a vehicle where it's gonna be hard to reach. Let's check it out. As far as construction goes, this is a solid core EPS foam material, really high density, and lightweight.

So moving this around is no problem. And the outer textured coating is gonna be a lot like a spray-in bedliner type material, making it really resistant to any sort of spills or chemicals, keep water out of it, and keep it durable. Because of the lightweight nature, it's very easy to move around and get set up. It's not a hassle. And when I hear foam, I worry a little bit just because I wonder how durable it's gonna be.

I can say that this feels solid. Even jumping on it and moving around, I don't feel like anything's shifting or moving. It does have a 1,500-pound weight capacity which is more than enough for me right now. And even if you had a couple other people on the steps, it's plenty of weight. Nothing shifts.

I don't feel like anything's budging, which is great. Something really isolated and focused, you might get a small dent out of it where you can feel that foam buckle a little bit, but that's just because it's so high pressure in a small area. Any sort of flat foot movement, I don't think anything's gonna happen to it. I think it's gonna hold up really well. Some dimensions for the step to give you an idea of what you're working with here.

It's going to be 23 inches deep, 24 inches wide. Each step is going to have 11.5 inches of space, so plenty of room for a large shoe. Even with these large work shoes on, I've got plenty of room to have a solid step and not feel like I have to hold onto the edge like I would a step ladder. And then each step height is going to be 7 3/4 of an inch, so you're not working with super tall steps. It's very comfortable, making it easier to get in and out of your trailer, or just up and down. It is raised up on some feet with an arch shape underneath, making it easier to get your hands in there to pick it up by its center and move it around. And moving this over to a larger truck, this is a perfect opportunity to show you where I think this would be, maybe, a little bit more useful is something like a detailing shop. This is a lot more solid than a step ladder. I feel like I have more room to walk around and move. It's sturdy, and it lets me reach the center of the hood of the truck, the windshield, whatever I need a lot easier. I'm six feet tall, so most vehicles is not too much of a problem. But on a larger lifted truck like this, it's hard to get to the center sections of the vehicle. And that's what the elevator is to it, it's just a pair of steps. But there are a lot of things that make it a little bit more unique, like the large bases for the steps, the heavy weight capacity, the non-slip surface, and the lightweight design making it easy to move around. I think if you're using this in a shop, like a detailing shop where you're gonna have a lot of cars coming through, needs to move around a lot, needs to be slip-resistant, and resistant to water and chemicals getting into it, it's gonna be a great addition. Or even if you have a trailer that you just need a little bit of extra help getting up into, I think that's gonna work great too.
