Helpful Expert Reply:

The maximum tongue weight capacity of your 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is 600 lbs so the 240 lbs of hitch weight that your trailer has will not be an issue whatsoever. I don't think the gross trailer weight will be a factory either but it will be best to reference page 4-72 of your owner's manual for this. I have attached a few parts below you might need as well to tow a trailer.

Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75521
Replacement Custom Multi-Tow 7-Way and 4-Way Trailer Connectors part # 30955
Tekonsha Voyager Trailer Brake Controller part # 39510
Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers part # 3015-P
Curt Channel Style Adjustable Ball Mount part # C45900
