Comparing the Atwood 3,000 lb Electric Jack to the Stromberg Carlson 5,000 lb Electric Jack

Question:

We normally buy your Atwood 3000 lb. electric jack for our rental equipment. We are looking to try a new product because the metal plate inside the housing bends after time on the atwood. Other electric jacks we have seen have a slow travel time. Do you know what the rate of speed on the Stromberg Carlson 5000 lb. electric jack is compared to the Atwood 3000 lb? Thanks

The Atwood Premier Performance Series Power Jack when compared to the Stromberg Carlson Electric Trailer Jack - Drop Leg - A-Frame - 23" Lift - 5,000 lbs - Black # JET-5000 will be slightly slower. The Atwood is a faster jack, but you do miss out on the quality of some components and other features. The Stromberg Carlson jack will be quieter and will also have an automatic shutoff that is much smoother than the Atwood to prevent the motor from retracting or extending too far. It overall is a better quality jack. I've attached some videos to assist.

The Robofoot on the Atwood is available by Fastway as # FA88-00-4500 but only has a 1,600 lb capacity. The drop foot of the Stromberg Carlson Jack although manual offers a 5 inch drop compared to the 6 inch drop of the Robofoot or the 4 inch drop of the Fastway foot.
