Recommended Atwood 3000 Replacement Electric Jack

Question:

I own a 2016 Outdoors Mfg., Blackstone trailer with a 10000 GVW and a tongue weight of 1650 lbs.. I use a Blue Ox BXW 2001 hitch system that I purchased from etrailer. The current tongue jack is an Atwood Premier 3000 and is the second replacement from the dealer in less than 2 years. The current Atwood Premier 3000, extend/lower switch, will intermittently not work and the only way to make the switch work is to the manual hand crank, make a few revolutions and only then the switch will work. So my question to you is: My trailer and blue ox hitch sit high and if I replace the Atwood Premier 3000 with a different brand, can it have the same travel length as the Atwood so that I can raise the trailer enough to successfully engage my Blue Ox weight distribution bars?

Yes, the Stromberg Carlson Electric Trailer Jack # JET-5000 is an excellent option for you. It is capable of lifting a trailer up to 18" with up to 5,000 lbs. of tounge weight. In comparison to the Atwood Premier Performance Series Power Jack w/ Robofoot part AT81067 which has a lift capacity of 3,000 lbs and provide up to 15" of lift. Therefore, yes the Stromberg Carlson jack will lift your trailer up to 3" higher than the Atwood jack.

In addition to added height, the higher weight capacity of the Stromberg Carlson jack will provide far less stress in comparison to the Atwood which should in turn, increase it's life expectancy. I have also included a review video of the Stromberg Carlson jack for you.
