What Motorcycle Frame Tube and Frame Width Do the B&W Biker Bar Motorcycle Tie-Down System Fit

Question:

I have looked at your QandAs about fitting different makes of motorcycles, but not sure if it will fit my two motorcycles. I have a 2006 Kawasaki Vulcan 2000 Classic LT and a 2015 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Classic LT. Will the system work for my cycles?

The B&W Biker Bar Motorcycle Tie-Down Systems we carry are only designed to fit certain models of Harley-Davidson and have not been tested for other bikes like your Kawasaki Vulcans.

It is possible they can work with your bikes if they have double tubes but you will need to know a couple of dimensions, the frame tube diameters and the frame width.

The B&W Biker Bar Motorcycle Tie-Down System for Trailers - Harley-Davidson Touring # BWMC2301 requires a frame tube diameter of 1-1/8" to 1-1/4" and frame width of 10" to 14-1/2".

The B&W Biker Bar Motorcycle Tie-Down System for Trailers - Harley-Davidson Softail, Dyna, V-Rod # BWMC2302 requires a frame tube diameter of 1-1/4" to 1-3/8" and frame width of 10" to 14".

The B&W Biker Bar Motorcycle Tie-Down System for Trailers - Harley-Davidson Sportster # BWMC2303 requires a frame tube diameter of 1-1/4" to 1-3/8" and frame width of 4-1/2" to 7".

The B&W Biker Bar Motorcycle Tie-Down System for Trailers - Harley-Davidson 1-1/2" Custom Frame # BWMC2304 requires a frame tube diameter of 1-3/8" to 1-1/2" and frame width of 10" to 14-1/2".

If these do not work another option to consider is the etrailer E-Track Motorcycle Rail for Trailers # e25VR which is 5' long and 3-1/2" wide. It bolts to a trailer's bed or frame platform using the # e46RR backing plates. This will give you an attachment point for tie-down ring # 59131; you can use the Arched Loading Ramp for CE Smith Motorcycle Rail # 288-07432 to load your bikes on your trailer.

Tie-down straps such as # 06303 or # EM05729 will also be needed to keep your bikes in place.

The accompanying photo is one a customer sent in showing it installed on their trailer. I have also added links to a couple of video reviews of this rail for you to take a look at.
