Video Transcript for ATV E-Track Ratcheting Tie-Down System Review

Today on this ATV and trailer we'll be demonstrating the Snap-Loc E track stainless ratcheting cargo strap. Now this strap does come in two colors, red, part number SLSRS16R, as well as blue, part number SLSRS16B. Now this heavy duty ratcheting cargo strap will safely tie down your gear. A loop at one end serves as a soft tie for bikes and the E track fittings at both ends will attach to any E track anchor point. It's constructed of stainless steel, which will stand up to harsh weather and rain use. Now on our ATV we'll be demonstrating the various ways to tie it down.

Today we'll be using one of the red Snap-Loc stainless ratcheting cargo straps as well as the Snap-Loc hook, part number SLH. We'll also be using the Erickson tie down assist straps, part number 06303. Well begin by taking the assist strap and wrapping it around our handle bar here. Now we want to make sure that we go around the wires that may go up on your handle bars as we dont want to pinch them. Now that we have our assist strap around our handle bars we'll take our red ratcheting cargo strap and using the hook, part number SLH, we'll take the soft loop on the strap and feed it through the hook.

We can then take our hook and attach it to our assist strap where we will move down and attach the E track side of our strap to the E track here on our trailer. We'll then ratchet the strap down securing our ATV to the trailer. Now the convenient hook and loop strap that is attached to our Snap-Loc can be used to wrap up our access strap and store it away. We'll move over here to the passenger side where we'll repeat the same process. Now on the rear of our ATV we'll use another Snap-Loc ratcheting cargo strap, wrap it around the frame and secure it on the other side.

Now with our ATV secured in three points on our trailer we're ready to head out on the road safely. That completes our demonstration of the Snap-Loc E track stainless ratcheting cargo strap with soft tie loop, part numbers SLSRS16B and SLSRS16R. Also using part number SLH, the Snap-Loc hook and part number 06303, the Erickson tie down assist straps, on our ATV and trailer.

Ive used these probably a dozen times over the last year and theyve been very handy, not just with motorcycles but in general.

by:

Everything as expected - durable/soft - held tight...

Tight, finely-woven strapping. Has smooth surface texture that will minimize any chaffing of the surface connected to. Will provide good connections with minimal, if any, stretch.

Holding up excellent

Don't have to put metal hooks on the paint or chrome. Also good for camping and hanging stuff on the baby stroller.

  • Wheel Chock Recommendation for 2015 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Classic Low
Most likely you are going to need the part # RA-17 as it can accept a tire that is up to 6-1/2 inches wide. You will need to check the width of your tire to see if this will work. Then you will need tie downs. For tie downs ShockStrap has a set of 4 straps specifically for motorcycles, # 297-7RSBB-M. With the built in shocks these straps won't accidently slip off. Or you could use strap set # 06303 combined with traditional ratchet straps such as # 317-340720. Check out the install...

  • Can CargoBuckle G3 Retractable Ratchet Tie-Down Strap Pull In at an Angle
CargoBuckle G3 Retractable Ratchet Tie-Down Strap # IMF18804 is going to behave like just about any ratchet strap. This means that if the strap is coming in at an angle the strap could fold over on itself. A slight angle may not be a problem but the higher the angle degree the more likely it will fold over. You may be interested in a the motorcycle assist straps, # 06303. These will allow you to secure a strap to the handle bars while avoiding damage that could occur from a coated hook...

  • Recommended Motorcycle/Scooter Carrier With Hitch Receiver For Motorhome
You do not need a bumper to add a hitch and carrier for your scooter. I recommend the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs, 18" to 51" Wide # C13702 or the # UF35-946403 which adjusts from 47-1/8 to 77 inches. Either of these hitch receivers will mount to your motorhome frame so a bumper is not needed. This can be used with thetrailer Motorcycle Carrier for 2" Hitches - 500 lbs # e98873 for your scooter. I recommend the Motorcycle Soft Loops # 06303 along with the Erickson...

  • Motorcycle Tie-Down Recommendations for a 700 Pound Motorcycle and Pressure Treated Flat Bed
The CargoBuckle Mini G3 Retractable, Ratcheting Tie-Downs, # IMF103745-86, would work well to secure your 700 pound motorcycle. If at all possible, bolt the tie-downs to the metal part of the frame. If you have attach it to the wood bed, I recommend adding a steel backing plate on the underside of the wood for support. You could also add some D-rings, like # RR5K, which comes with a backing plate. You may also need adapter # IMF14086 to use with these D-rings. You could also use straps...

  • Can a Honda Shadow Spirit 750 be Carried on an etrailer Motorcycle Carrier
I would not attempt to carry a 2002 Shadow Spirit 750 on the etrailer motorcycle carrier, item # e98873. Your best bet for transporting your motorcycle would be a small trailer equipped with a wheel chock like part # RA-17. There are simply too many variables with a street bike that size, and you may have trouble with the spare tire on the Jeep. Other items you may need are the Motorcycle Assist Straps, item # 06303, and the Soft Tie Motorcycle and ATV Tie Downs, item # EM05729.

  • Using E-Track and Accessories in a 5 x10 Enclosed Trailer to Carry a Harley or an ATV
In order to secure either a motorcycle or ATV I recommend 2 sections of E-Track # E19148 so that you can have one on either side of the motorcycle. This will be the most stable set up for the bike. The ATV really only needs to use one of the tracks to be secured using a wheel net with E-Track fittings, # 77314. For the motorcycle I recommend using at least 2 of D-ring # 59131, assist straps # 06303, and some ratchet straps such as # 34414. I have included some links to videos on these...

  • Transporting Motorcycle with 2008 Jeep Wrangler
The hitch mounted tray-style motorcycle carriers we offer require the hitch they're mounted in to have a tongue weight capacity of at least 500 lbs. Since all the hitches offered for your Wrangler have a maximum tongue weight capacity of 350 lbs, I wouldn't recommend a tray style carrier. Your best bet would be to use a small utility trailer like # K2MMT5X7 outfitted with a wheel chock like # 337WC1467A and tie down straps like # EM05710 and # 06303.

  • Recommendation for Transporting 420 Pound Sportbike While Towing 5th Wheel Trailer
Going with a front mounted hitch and a heavy duty carrier for your sportbike is really the only option for transporting your bike while towing a 5th wheel trailer. The motorcycle carriers we currently have available are not rated for use behind a trailer, so this will be the best solution. For your 2013 Chevy Silverado, I recommend the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # C31023. This hitch will provide you with a 2 inch receiver opening and has a 500 pound vertical load capacity....

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver for 2018 Subaru Forester
Your 2018 Subaru Forester has a towing capacity of 1500 lbs. Normally the manufacturer suggests the tongue weight rating as 10% of that, so 150 lbs. You will want to check your owners manual to confirm. The trailer hitch is definitely strong enough to handle your motorcycle carrier and 210 lb motorcycle. If you choose to use this combination, I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 75876 which is a confirmed fit and rated for up to...

Your best option for 2 mopeds on the back of a motorhome is to use the Flint Hill Goods 29" x 49" Carrier w/ 60" Ramp - 2" Hitch - 500 lbs # FHG69ZR. This is not rated for RV use, but no cargo carriers are. Then you can use the Master Lock Cam Buckle Straps w Strap Traps and Spring Clip Hooks # 317-412080 and soft loops # 06303 for each moped. If you don't have a hitch receiver on the back of your motorhome, I recommend the Curt Adjustable Trailer Hitch Receiver - 18"-51" Wide # C13701...

I recommend using the Blue Ox Hitch Receiver Immobilizer II - 2" Hitches # BX88224 for the best support and anti-movement device for a heavy duty application like this. If you prefer to have a locking anti-rattle, then I recommend the Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 2" Hitches # 63232. I've attached a video of each to assist. • Motor Scooter Carrier Work with a 2005 Yamaha Vino 125 Scooter
Yes, the motorcycle carriers should work but with the 10 inch wheel and tire combination on your Vino, you may have to do a bit of adjustment for the wheels to fit between the rungs of the carrier properly. I checked the specs of the Vino and it weighs 166 pounds dry weight, so it would weigh about 200 pounds overall. It is 66 inches long overall so you should be able to use the Ultra-Fab Motorcycle Carrier, part # UF48-979033, with no problems. A set of Motorcycle Tie-Down Assist Straps,...

These are not rated for RV use in this capacity, so it would be at your own discretion. If you choose to do so or use it on a different vehicle, the Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier for 2" Hitches - With Ramp - 77" Long - 500 lbs # UF48-979033 is a great option. The Zinc Sheet Metal Screw - 8 x 3/4" Indented Hex Washer Head - Hex Slotted Drive # 31071 are a good choice for your wall studs, but not for your 3/4 inch wood floors. The zinc coating on both the E-track # E19148 and the screws will prevent galvanic corrosion from the dissimilar metals of steel and aluminum. • Using E-Track, Tie-Downs, and Wheel Chocks to Haul 2 Harley Davidson Motorcycles
If I were to haul to Harleys I would make it as safe as possible so a wheel chock would not be a bad idea. Using the E-track is also a good way to go because the track is so versatile. Using a steel plate for support is also the way to go. You have a good grasp on what needs to be done. For a wheel chock, you can use something like # RA-17. It accepts wheels up to 6.5 inches wide. Might I also suggest the motorcycle tie-down assist straps, # 06303. Using these straps on the handle bars...

  • E-Track Spacing to Secure a 2007 Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic Electra Glide
I would space the E-tracks, such as # E19148, at about handlebar width or to go around crash bars if equipped (which generally are not wider than the handlebars). You will want the straps you use to be able to hold the bike at the handlebars without touching any other part of the bike. What I recommend is to mock it up ahead of time by parking the bike on the trailer where it will set and then place the bars on the floor and see if the chosen locations are going to work or if they need...

But if you only need part of the trailer equipped then I would put one track on each side of the bike.
