Can BrakeRite Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator be Repaired if Fluid Allowed to Run Out
Question:
brakerite 4814400 not working - Fluid ran dry and on refill pump motor would not run. Did operating with no fluid cause the pump to seize? If so is it repairable.

I was unable to find a reference to part 4814400 so I assume you were referring to the Titan BrakeRite Electric-Hydraulic Actuator # T4813102 .
I contacted Titan who told me it was possible it burned the pump if it ran for a time and you should look for metal shavings in the reservoir; if you see them it is not repairable and you would need a new unit.
The other possibility is that air may have gotten into the unit and would need to be purged which would be done by placing the unit on it’s back and running it until it comes to pressure, which may take up to one minute.
