Adapter for 2015 Chevy Silverado with Dexter Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator

Question:

I have a 2015 Silverado 3500 Diesel with ITBC and a new trailer with EoH brakes and Dexter E/H 1600 actuator. Im getting the trailer connected message and no error or service messages and the ITBC seems to work fine. However, when I manually activate the ITBC the actuator doesnt run and no brakes applied. When I pull the breakaway switch, the actuator works fine. Would the DX35FR adapter module fix this problem?

Integrated brake controllers like what you have in your 2015 Chevy Silverado are pretty inconsistent with how they work with electric over hydraulic actuators. Sometimes they work totally fine, sometimes not at all, or like in your case the function is limited slightly. In your situation the Dexter part # DX35FR would be a good choice to help allow it to work like it needs to.
