Trailer Wiring Harness 56083 Not Working After Installation on a 2011 Lexus RX 350
Question:
I had 13143 Curt trailer hitch and wiring 56083 installed on my 2011 Lexus RX 350. Changed all the fuses, still no power. Technician said I had the factory tow package and I needed to take it to Lexus dealership to get it programmed. Took it to dealer and they said I didnt. Thanks

Did the dealer say it didn't need to be reprogrammed or that your 2011 Lexus RX 350 doesn't have the factory tow package? Because if it does not have the factory tow package then you would need to install a different wiring harness, # 118478. I have linked a video showing how it installs.
If it does have the factory tow package then re-check the following fuses: Under the hood locations 43 and 44; Driver's side instrument panel fuse box location 22. If those are all good to go then you may actually have to have the tow package activated. You may need to visit a different dealership for this. I have not heard that this vehicle requires this but, at the very least, if you do have the factory tow package and it isn't working then they should be able to figure out why.
