Recommended Bike Rack for 2005 Volvo S60

Question:

Need to get our new car 2005 volvo S60 sedan fitted to carry my women's upright titanium bike and a lightweight electric bike. We want a 2 bike hitch rack, not a trunk mounted one. use the bike rack 3-5 times a week. Suggestions? cant seem to find the answer on your site. Thanks

There is definitely a bike rack that will work for you, but the first thing you'll need is a hitch if you do not already have one. I recommend the Draw-Tite # 36297, which is a Class II hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver that is confirmed to fit your 2005 Volvo S60.

For a 2-bike platform rack that will work with a women's titanium bike and lightweight electric bike I strongly recommend the Kuat NV 2.0 # NV12B. A rack that will be getting a lot of use carrying nice bikes is going to need to have a lot of useful features, which the NV does. It saves the frames of your bikes by avoiding contact with the frames; it uses ratcheting hooks to grip the bikes by the front wheels and ratcheting wheel straps to secure the bikes by the back wheels.

The NV 2.0 comes in black # NV12B and gunmetal gray # NV12G, has a weight capacity of 60 lbs per bike and will work with bikes that have a maximum wheelbase of 50" with 20" to 29" wheels and a tire width of up to 3" (or up to 4.9" with fat tire adapter # APBK).

This Kuat rack also features an integrated lever which allows you to fold and tilt the rack for ease of access to your Volvo's cargo area. It uses a simple hand-tightening cam system to install in your hitch without tools, comes with a built-in bike repair stand and important security features such as a hitch lock to secure the rack to your hitch and retractable cable locks to secure your bikes to the rack.

I've added links to video reviews of this rack so you can get a better idea of how this rack can meet your biking needs.
