Trailer Hitch and Extension Recommendation for 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500HD With Camper
Question:
Having just purchased your torklift front and rear tiedowns, I realized that our new truck camper needs a hitch extension of around 22. I want to haul a small two horse trailer - ca 5000 lb loaded. Do I need the super truss or will something else do ? My truck is an 2006 Silverado Duramax 2500 HD with airbags - the camper weighs about 3000 lbs wet.

For an extension as long as you'd need to have a 2-1/2 inch hitch installed so that you could use the hitch extender part # RP45292 which can be trimmed down to 24 inches.
If you were in need of a 2-1/2 inch hitch then you'd need the part # DT45517 which is a confirmed fit for your 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500HD short bed.
