Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Tera Pump battery powered fuel transfer pump. Now this is a battery operated pump that's going to allow you to easily transfer fuel to your mower, boat or atv. One of the really nice things about this system is that you're not gonna have to lift a heavy gas canister. You're not gonna have to worry about balancing funnels or spilling your fuel everywhere. This is going to make a much easier process for your fueling.
It's gonna be great for garages, shops, yards, farms, docks, and campsites. Really just anywhere you're needing to transfer fuel, this is gonna be a great option for you. This is going to work with non-corrosive liquids such as methanol, ethanol, DEF, or window washer fluids, brake cleaner, liquid soda, and non potable water. The 10 foot long plus flexible discharge hose and our telescopic intake tube will work with a variety of containers. It does not come with any containers but this telescoping intake tube will adjust from 15 inches out to 20 inches.
So it is going to fit gas cans, utility jugs, and small drums from five gallon pails up to 20 gallon drum barrels. The suction end here does have an outer diameter of about one and five sixteenths of an inch, so make sure that that's going to fit into your opening. And then it does have these small feet here to prevent it from getting stuck to the bottom of your canister, so it will ensure that there's always gonna be enough room for your fuel to flow through. Then we do have our 10 foot long discharge hose that's going to allow us to reach longer and higher. So, it's gonna be great for say refueling a boat right from your dock.
You can leave your canister in one place and then fuel up your boat. You've got 10 feet of length there to work with. And this does operate on two D size batteries. Those are not included, but they just fit right up here in this slot. And that's going to provide up to 2.1 gallons per minute of flow.
And those batteries will last for approximately 250 gallons. So we'll do a great job for you for a long time. The system will operate, you just simply use that switch there on the top. When you're ready to use it, you'll switch it to the on position and then you'll get this plugged in or put into your gas tank or your fuel tank on your boat, lawn mower, whatever it is that you're wanting to fuel up. You've got the nozzle handle here that's gonna control your rate of flow, so the more you squeeze in, the faster it's gonna flow. And then when you release the handle and turn off the switch, it's going to stop that flow. We do have a locking hook that's going to allow us to start the flow and then we will rotate that around and that will kind of lock that handle in position so we can let go. We don't have to hold it the whole time. And then when we're ready to stop again, we'll just turn that back. And there's different rates of flow. So this handle does kind of get wider as it goes back. So that's going to create a higher flow rate the farther it's turned around, and then allow you to adjust that flow rate for yourself without having to hold that handle the whole time. The nozzle handle does have this swivel nut, so that's going to allow us to rotate 360 degrees so we can prevent our hose from getting tangled. And then we just tighten that back down. Again, there is a U-shaped hook that's going to allow you to hang the pump from storage bar. This, the minimum opening here is about three quarters of an inch wide, so allow you to easily hang that. And then we also have the built-in holder that will allow you to store the discharge nozzle safely there. So very easy to keep organized when you're not using it and then it's gonna make it very simple for you to get your fuel to where you need it. This is going to meet the high safety standards of the ANSI, UL, CSA and NSF, so you can trust it is gonna do a good job for you. Obviously, when you're working with flammable substances you wanna be very careful. So having all those safety standard approvals is going to give us a little bit more reassurance that this will do a good job for us. We won't have to worry about that. So if you are looking for an easy way to transfer your fuel from a canister to your application, this is gonna be a great way to go. That completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
