Just picked up a 2016 Malibu premier . Would like to install trailer hitch. Do you have an installation video available for this car ?

We do offer two options in a 1-1/4-inch Class II hitch for your 2016 Chevrolet Malibu Premier that you can view on the linked page.

Both the Draw-Tite # 36652 and the Curt # C12185 are no-drill installations and have similar capacities but Curt rates the installation of their hitch as being a bit less complex than the process required for the Draw-Tite. Both hitches require trimming of fascia components as well as temporary lowering of the exhaust for access to the hitch mounting points, but the Draw-Tite also requires removing the rear bumper. For the easier install go for the Curt.

The Curt hitch part #C12185 is a confirmed fit for your 2018 Chevy Malibu with dual exhaust and would work well. I attached a picture of this hitch installed on a similar Malibu with dual exhaust for you to check out as well.

Check the sidewall of the tires on the trailer and you should find a speed rating. For this size 4.80-8 like the part #AM10002 the common speed rating is 65 mph which as long as you kept the speed under that you'd be fine.
