Can 8 inch Trailer Tires Handle Highway Speeds

Question:

I have a wheelchair carrier Bruno Chariot that has 4.80X8 tires. These things have to really be spinning extremely fast at 60-65 MPH. I have to make a pretty long trip. Should I be very concerned about tires and/or bearings? I do not have the option of increasing wheel/tire diameter.

Check the sidewall of the tires on the trailer and you should find a speed rating. For this size 4.80-8 like the part # AM10002 the common speed rating is 65 mph which as long as you kept the speed under that you'd be fine.
