Recommended Trailer Hitch for 2015 Dodge Charger Hellcat

I sent you guys another message earlier but I didnt receive a confirmation email.. Does any of your class-2 kits fit a 2015 Dodge Charger SRT-392/Hellcat?

I called my contact at Curt and asked about the Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # C12064. They said they could not guarantee it would fit your Hellcat. It is a Class ll hitch and has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening.

I also called Draw-Tite and asked about the fit of the # 36548 Class ll hitch. They said this hitch will work with your Charger Hellcat. This hitch has a 1-1/4 inch opening.

If you are going to tow with the hitch I recommend part # 36061 for a drawbar. This has a 3-1/8 inch rise and comes with the hitch pin and clip. For a 2-inch hitch ball I recommend part # 19258 and for a 1-7/8 inch ball I recommend part # 19257.

I recommend going with the Class lll hitch, part # C13236. This is a Class lll hitch and they did verify it does fit the Hellcat. This hitch has a 2-inch receiver opening.

If you plan on doing some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.

If the ball mount kit does not include a ball mount with the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, check out the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.

If you are going to be towing and do not have a trailer wiring harness I recommend part # 118655. You just plug this into the connection points in the truck, run the hot lead wire to the positive battery post and you will have a 4-way trailer connector.

When working with electrical connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the electrical connections and helps prevent corrosion.

If you plan to use the hitch for anything beside towing let me know and I can make some recommendations that will work for you.
