Purpose of Bolt-On Kit for Convert-A-Ball Gooseneck Adapter Part # CAB-5GX

Question:

I am looking at the 71/2 offset version of the Convert-A-Ball gooseneck adaptor to use with a Ford 250/six and half foot bed. What is the bolt-on kit mentioned in the Q andA? Also, does anyone make a cushioned version of the CAB-5GX with the offset? Thank you for your help.

The bolt on kit mentioned is not included with the straight adapter, only the offset model. The bolts pass through the top of the housing (the holes can be seen in the photos on the product description page) and are required on the offset adapter to prevent the adapter from rotating in the bed during turns. The bolts are not required for use with the straight couplers, although Convert-A-Ball will provide them to you if you contact them.

We do indeed carry a cushioned version of the Offset Convert-A-Ball Gooseneck Adapter, it is part # CAB-C5GX1216.
