4-way to 5-way Adapter Recommendation to Tow Trailer with Reverse Lock Out Solenoid
Question:
I have a 2009 Lexus LX 570 and a boat trailer. The boat trailer has a brake cable for the solenoid which is for reverse lockout that my Lexus does not have. Do you have an adapter for this? Thank you,

Sounds like your 2009 Lexus LX 570 has a 4-way trailer wiring harness and your trailer uses a 5-way that activates the reverse lock out solenoid of the trailer.
The correct adapter you would need is the part # 20036. This will convert your 4-way to a 5-way and would work well for you.
Typically the fifth wire is for a reverse lockout or light so it would get run to the reverse light circuit of your vehicle. I attached an install video that shows a typical install of this adapter.
