How to Find Connector for Back Up Sensors When Installing 118760 Trailer Wiring on 2019 Honda Pilot

Question:

Hi. I recently bought a wire harness Tekonsha 118760 for my 2019 Honda Pilot Touring. I have Backup Parking sensors. I need to connect the blue wire T-connector to its opposite connector or the wire harness will not work . I cannot find it. Can you tell me where it is located? I took the rear panel completely out of the SUV. No T-Connector for the Blue wire. Please help me. Strange no one has done a video for this wire harness where the SUV has backup sensors.

According to my contact at Tekonsha, the connector you're looking for will only be present if the bumper sensors are dealer-installed. If the parking sensors were factory installed, the connector will NOT be present, and the blue wire in question doesn't need to be connected to anything. You can just bundle it up and tuck it out of the way, using a zip tie to secure it. The trailer connector will work fine. The factory installed parking sensors are most common, which explains why we don't have a video showing the # 118760 installed on a vehicle equipped with the dealer-installed sensors.

If the parking sensor was dealer installed, I'd enlist them to help you find the connector.
