Trailer Jack Recommendation that Allow Tailgate Clearance
Question:
Can a scissor jack be used as an A-Frame tongue jack? I am looking at a bumper with a swing away tire carrier, but it will interfere with my standard trailer A-Frame jack. Are there other low profile options for an A-Frame jack? Thanks

Scissor jacks are designed for stabilizing, not lifting. I wouldn't recommend you use one as an A-frame jack. You might be better off with a side mounted jack like the part # DL22800 that can be positioned further back on the trailer frame for more tailgate clearance.
