Replacement Trailer Jack with Retracted Height Less than 15 Inches

Question:

I have 1000lb. Dutton-Lainson trailer tongue jack that is mounted directly to the frame of my trailer via custom mount see attached pictures. The mount is as shown in pictures for PSEJ10000101 with the center to center bolt dimension of 5-1/2 across the top bolts and 4-1/2inch from top to bottom bolt. My problem is this: fully retracted the jack is too tall ~13-1/2inch from floor to bottom of mount so 15inch from floor to center of mount plate. Do you have another Dutton-Lainson jack to recommend so as to have the same bolt-on dimensions? Or as an alternative - would a Fulton F2 or similar Fulton jack have a mount plate with 5-1/2inch x 4-1/2inch bolt holes ? Thank you. Kirk Johnson 281-796-2037 cell

I have 2 trailer jack options that are bolt-on, side frame mount jacks that will offer you lower retracted heights than the 15 inch retracted height of your existing Dutton-Lainson jack. One is a similar Dutton-Lainson jack and the other is a Fulton jack.

The Dutton-Lainson Pull Pin, Easy Swivel Trailer Jack with 8 Inch Wheel # DL22800 has a matching bolt pattern to your existing jack but has a retracted height of only 13 inches, measured from the bottom of the wheel to the center of the mounting plate. This jack has a 10 inch lift and a lift capacity of 1,500 pounds. I've attached a review video of this jack for you.

Fulton also offers a jack with a 5-1/2 inch x 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern, the Fulton Bolt-Thru Swivel Marine Jack with Caster # FXP10. This jack has the same mounting pattern as your existing winch, and it offers a 10 inch lift with a 1,200 pound capacity. This jack has a 12-3/4 inch retracted height, measured from the bottom of the wheel to the center of the mount. You can choose to bolt this jack to your existing brackets instead of bolting it around the frame. A review video of this jack is also attached for you.
