Trailer Wiring Harness on 2015 Honda CR-V Blew 7.5 Amp Fuse
Question:
I installed this wiring harness and everything worked perfectly. I noticed today that the trailer lights werent working and found that the 7.5 amp fuse was blown. Any things to check to eliminate this from happening again? Thanks.

The fuse likely blew because either there was a short on the trailer wiring somewhere or the lights on the trailer draw more than 7.5 amps.
The first things to check are the vehicle and trailer side connectors. Make sure each is free of dirt and corrosion. On the trailer side inspect the wiring from the connector all the way to each light. Fix any broken or pinched wires.
Also inspect the ground locations for the lights to make sure they are clean and free of corrosion as well.
If the combined draw of the lights exceeds 7.5 amps then that too could cause the fuse to blow. In this scenario I recommend switching to LED lights which draw a fraction of the power of incandescent lights. I have included a link to the LED lights we carry.

I had the same problem. Used a meter and found the white wire ground terminal did not ground. Sanded the contact area on the body and put it back on and it worked. Also put a star washer under it. A star washer has many sharp points.
