How Could Trailer Wiring of 2016 Honda CR-V Charge Trailer's Battery
Question:
Is there a way of getting power from the car to charge the trailer battery on a 2016 Honda CRV? I think it needs more than the flat four pin connector. Thanks

Yes you would need to install a 7-way on your 2016 Honda CR-V to be able to carry the 12 volt circuit to charge the battery on your trailer. If you don't have a 4-way already you will need one first. For that you would want the Tow Ready part # 118561.
To convert the 4-waty to a 7-way will require the adapter part # 37185. The black wire would need to be ran up to the positive post of the battery with 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 through a circuit breaker like part # 9510.
If you don't have a 7-way on your trailer you would need to have one installed as well. For that you would want the part # H20046. The black wire of this would then run to the positive post of your trailer battery. You should note that this won't charge a dead battery back to life but it will keep a good battery maintained.
